About Antony Ants Outdoor Nursery

Our outdoor nursery is part of Antony Primary School, Children are outside for all of their session, unless the weather is particularly bad. Children have access to an indoor hut with further activities such as story time and daily talk (days of the week, weather etc). Antony Ants are included in various whole school activities, including lunch and play times, which builds a bridge to being part of the Antony family. This makes the school transition in September much smoother.

We believe that learning through play and hands-on experiences has the biggest and best impact.. Adventure Ants is influenced by the Forest School Ethos and we allow children the time and space to develop life long skills in a natural environment.

Our Outdoor, child led ethos helps to promote self-esteem and independence, where children develop the foundations of learning, in support and readiness for school.

We are proud to be a part of St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust. The trust comprises of fourteen schools that work together in three geographical hubs across Cornwall. 

School leaders, teachers and support staff work collaboratively in teams within their hubs and across the Trust to ‘Bring It! by supporting one another to; 

• keep pupils safe

• develop and plan the curriculum

• improve teaching and learning
