St Barnabas Governance Structure

In an academy trust, members act as the “guardians of governance”. Their role is distinct from trustees, who handle the day-to-day strategic management. Members provide a critical layer of oversight to ensure the trust remains true to its charitable purpose.

The Members are as follows:

Lee Moscato (Diocese of Truro)
Karen Bond (Diocese of Truro)
Kersten Lewis (Diocese of Truro)
Steven Bulmer (Board of Directors)

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust has statutory responsibility for the governance of the fourteen schools within the Trust.  You may hear them referred to as Trustees or Directors.

Directors have four main duties:
1. To ensure clarity of Vision, Ethos and Strategic Direction of the Trust.
2. Holding the CEO and Executive to account for educational performance and outcomes for every child in the Trust.
3. Overseeing the financial performance of the Trust and making sure that money is well spent.
4. Ensuring Safeguarding is in place.

The Directors are as follows:
