About St Dominic C of E Primary School
Our school is a welcoming village school set in a beautiful local environment, where children are nurtured, challenged, and encouraged to thrive. With small class sizes and a strong sense of community, we offer a family-like atmosphere where every child is known and valued.
We are a four-class school with mixed-age year groups, allowing children to learn, grow, and support one another in a caring and inclusive setting: Tamar Class (Nursery & Reception), Fowey Class (Years 1&2), Tavy Class (Years 3&4) and Lynher Class (Years 5&6).
Our outdoor environment plays an important role in school life. Children benefit from regular outdoor learning opportunities, including time spent in our school allotment, where they develop practical skills, teamwork, and a love for nature.
We warmly welcome new families and are always happy to show prospective parents and children around our school.
By working in collaboration with all the other schools in the Trust our children have all the opportunities they would if they went to a large school but with the benefits that a small family school has to offer.
St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust comprises of fourteen schools that work together in three geographical hubs across Cornwall.
School leaders, teachers and support staff work collaboratively in teams within their hubs and across the Trust to ‘Bring It! by supporting one another to;
-
keep pupils safe
-
develop and plan the curriculum
