Welcome to St Winnow C of E Primary School

We warmly welcome you to St Winnow School, a place where, through God’s love, pupils develop a passion for lifelong learning and strive to do their best in everything.

We believe in providing a personal, caring, and supportive family atmosphere that nurtures pupils on their individual learning journeys. This ethos is underpinned by a strong culture of kindness, forgiveness, and friendship, ensuring that everyone supports and encourages one another to flourish.

Learning at St Winnow is innovative, enabling pupils to express themselves with creativity, imagination, and dignity. Our teachers trust pupils to actively shape their own learning outcomes and set their future goals through rich, diverse, and meaningful experiences.

We empower children to work with enthusiasm, question their learning, and contribute confidently, all while respecting the ideas and opinions of others. We encourage open relations, unity, and generosity of spirit so that each member of our school feels valued and takes a sense of pride in their achievements. The wider community works alongside us to support this shared vision.

As a Church of England School, we support its vision for education which is deeply Christian, with Jesus’ promise of ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10) at its heart.

Safeguarding pupils is our first priority. All our employees and volunteers are vetted and trained to ensure our children are kept safe. Adults and pupils are vigilant and know how to report and record any concerns they may have to senior leaders responsible for safeguarding.

If you are; a parent looking for a school for your child, a teacher looking for a class to teach or a school seeking partnerships with others, we would love to hear from you. Here are our contact details.

Our ‘Bring It!’ vision requires us to ensure our pupils are excited by and fully engaged in their learning and school experience more widely. Inspired by The Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14–30) we support pupils to use their talents to create positive school memories with their friends that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
